London Business Aviation conference hailed a great success

120 delegates from Europe and the United States gathered at RAF Northolt in West London last week for the 3rd annual BA-Meetup conference.

Christened the 'un-conference' by this year's attendees - in appreciation of it's informal and social atmosphere - the BA-Meetup brought business aviation professionals together in a wide-ranging programme of education and debate ranging from Operations, Scheduling and FBO Management to Marketing, Catering and Ground Transportation.

Keynote speaker was André Borschberg, Founder, CEO and Test Pilot of the pioneering Solar Impulse project who, having succesfully completed the first 24-hour solar-powered flight in July last year, is now preparing for an historic round-the-world flight. Andre Borschberg

Initiator and Chairman of the event, Cdr. Bud Slabbaert, was delighted with the positive reaction from delegates and spoke enthusiastically about future Meetups: "Next year's BA-Meetup at RAF Northolt, is already in the planning stage," he said, "but in the meantime I'm receiving invitations and support to organise an edition in the United States - possibly in the Autumn. Watch this space!"
