London
Business Aviation conference hailed a great success
120
delegates from Europe and the United States gathered at RAF Northolt in
West London last week for the 3rd annual BA-Meetup conference.
Christened
the 'un-conference' by this year's attendees - in appreciation of it's
informal and social atmosphere - the BA-Meetup brought business aviation
professionals together in a wide-ranging programme of education and
debate ranging from Operations, Scheduling and FBO Management to
Marketing, Catering and Ground Transportation.
| Keynote
speaker was André
Borschberg,
Founder, CEO and Test Pilot of the pioneering Solar Impulse project who,
having succesfully completed the first 24-hour solar-powered flight in
July last year, is now preparing for an historic round-the-world flight. |
 |
Initiator
and Chairman of the event, Cdr.
Bud Slabbaert,
was delighted with the positive reaction from delegates and spoke
enthusiastically about future Meetups: "Next year's
BA-Meetup at RAF Northolt, is already in the planning stage," he
said, "but in the meantime I'm receiving invitations and support to
organise an edition in the United States - possibly in the Autumn. Watch
this space!"
